Dandi Bioscience is taking a wide range of steps to develop next-generation new drugs, such as discovering new drug candidates and diagnosing dementia.

Dandi Bioscience announced on the 21st that it had signed a joint research contract (commissioned research) with Professor Geun-Woo Lee of the Molecular Design Laboratory at Gyeongsang National University on June 12 for molecular design to discover new drug candidates.

As a result, Dandi Bioscience has laid the foundation for designing the optimal candidate drug.

Professor Geun-Woo Lee obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Chemistry at Seoul National University, worked as a research professor at the University of Berkeley and the University of Houston, USA, and has been working as a professor at the Department of Biological Sciences at Gyeongsang National University since 2004. His main fields of research are protein structure and function research using molecular modeling, new drug design research using computer, and bioinformatics (machine learning field).

Regarding this, Park Young-min, CEO of Dandi Bioscience, said, “Designing the optimal drug candidate through collaboration with Professor Geun-Woo Lee, an authority in the field of drug molecular design, is to reduce trial and error in the new drug development process, thereby reducing time and cost as well as medicines. We will also increase the possibility of shoemaking.”
